HUMAN FACTOR AUTHENTICATION
HUMAN FACTOR AUTHENTICATION provides methods that builds continuous authentication. All these methods are related to the thoughts and 
the decision making processes, in particular, the characteristics that make us an individual human being.
HUMAN FACTOR AUTHENTICATION uses objects that are capable of being reproduced consistently by computers, and the embedded message are related to higher intellectual processes. There are solutions that use images as means to communicate but our processes are unique. The significant differences in our technologies are:
- Abstract value – The HFA object (such as images) is a message carrier only. It has no fixed value as it is subjective to the individual user who is in front of the screen, and has dependency on the specific situation which the HFA object is placed in – such as what stage of the transaction. Only correct action(s) produce the right message.
- Every HFA object carries a unique message. Each time a person interact with one or more of HFA object(s), a message or message segment is communicated with JANUS authentication server. The message contains the hidden signal or key posted by the user, because these signals or keys cannot be reverse engineered, it is very secure.
- HFA objects are more than images, it include other forms such as audio – speech, sounds and music; Touch - Braille pattern and characters etc; or smell and taste in the future.
- HFA authentication message has complete dependency on the user and it is dynamic.
Using Image Challenge as an example, an image grid is produced with multiple images. The user predetermines how to use these pictures (ex: Golf is the theme. User decides to click on two random themed pictures before clicking on golf theme); behind the scene each image carries a completely different message or a message segment each time it is represented. Also whilst to the user there are always 16 images represented, behind the scenes it randomly changes from a 16 tile frame to 8 to 2 or 1 and so on. The user actions of clicking the images, creates a dynamic message and only JANUS is able to validate the message and notify the service provider to continue with the transaction.
